BF Shield Bag Custom Load Out

The bag is less substantial, which makes the Shield a little less plane-ready, perhaps. But the foam is what's protecting your miniatures, and the foam is the same. You can't find a value like this anywhere on the site, and the option for custom foam is above and beyond expectations.

This bag is sturdy and very well-designed. We bought a custom design for holding Krosmaster figures. The foam pockets were perfectly sized, and I love that the bag is crushable if you remove all the trays for easy storage. We're going to order another tray for more Krosmaster figures, and probably another whole set for Warhammer and Warmachine, so we can just transfer the trays into the bag depending on what we're going to play. Excellent product, well worth the price!

The details on the page are very thorough. I knocked a star off because 9 inches of foam is hard to work with. I ended up getting 4 - 2 inch trays for my X-Wing miniatures. 2 inches deep is super awkward for Rebels. The pointy cannons on the X-Wings, Z95, E-Wings, etc, get stuck as you're trying to cram your fingers down 2 inches of foam to retrieve them. 2 inches was totally fine for Imperial and Scum, however. I negated the Rebel issue by putting a single peg on most, then pointing the canons/nose up as a grabbing point. Then, you lose stacking ability, but if you're stacking ships then you probably have enough money for a better bag. Also, you have the advertised squishiness of the bag. I'm fine with this, but what I didn't realize is that it does mean your foam trays will be dinged and dented. I mean, that's what they're for... but they won't stay perfect without the hard-wall structure of the more expensive bags. Another note: 3 sides have pockets. These pockets are quite tight. Anything bigger than about a 100 page manual will likely press into and effect your foam inside. Overall, best bang for buck on the site. I got something above average for what I wanted to spend.

The BF Shield Bag is the ideal bag for the Gamer on a budget. Very true. It's a very good way to carry a good number of mini's (X-Wing ships in my case) with a fair amount of protection. But it's not as protected as some of the other Battlefoam cases. That higher level of protection isn't needed for carry from your home to your car and then from your car to your FLGS. Great customer service as well. The custom tray creator was giving a danger signal on the Tantive IV, but it looked like there would be room. I asked if it could be done and was told it would work. It did.

Was my first ever battlefoam purchase. The bag fit my krosmaster figurines along with the game tokens and everything else. Good solid storage and saves a ton of space on my board game shelf.

Bought this bag with custom cut foam. This is my second purchase from BattleFoam and as always they are fantastic. I was able to fit over a 100 Chaos Dwarfs plus all my war machines for a 2.5K army.

Everything came out exactly as the Configurator configured it... will be recommending it to everyone...
