Pack G.O. 2.0 with magna rack slider load
Took to LVO and I couldn’t be happier. It traveled very well, and was exceptionaly easy to use at the Rio. It allows for changing the sizes of the racks which was excellent to accommodate my death guard with morty and brigands. 5 stars no question, and highly suggested.

Could be Improved
When I came across the Battlefoam magna rack sliding shelves, I was intrigued. Seeing it paired with a backpack as the “P.A.C.K GO 2.0” carrying system was something I had always considered when carrying my foam tray bags: That it’d be nice to carry my models hands-free with the weight supported by two straps, rather than as a single-strap shoulder bag swinging around. Initially, the only glaring issue I saw with the Pack Go setup as advertised was the price. By far it’s the most expensive carry system I had ever encountered/considered, but figured between the magnetic shelves, all the storage pockets, and the backpack straps, it’d be worth it. After pouring over the sizing specs of the components, and measuring the height of my models in their trays (I wanted to carry them as complete units), I decided to go for it during a late summer sale. Now that I’ve had the bag for several months, and the initial post-purchase excitement has worn off, I feel I can give it a thorough review. The short version is that in my opinion, while the bag is “good”, it could easily be a lot better, which would potentially make it worth its high price. At present though, I can’t fully recommend it, certainly not at full price. My full observations and opinions below: The not so good: - The advertised dimensions of the metal tray inserts on Battlefoam’s site are inaccurate. I was relying on the accuracy of those measurements so that 2 ASOIAF infantry/cavalry trays would fit comfortably side by side on each shelf with a little room to spare, but since the *actual* size of the magnetic inserts is smaller. I informed Battlefoam of the inaccurate measurements months ago, and they have yet to even revise it on their website. - The small magna rack itself doesn’t fully fill the interior of the bag. They must not have designed the rack specifically for this bag, otherwise there’s no way they would have overlooked this. The width of the rack is a good 1.25” shy of spanning the interior width of the bag. It’s not a danger to the models or anything, but it is a waste of space and allows the rack to shift inside the bag. If it had been the full width, then the metal trays may have actually been the advertised size too. To their credit, battle foam made up for me a sized foam shim for free after I brought this to their attention. That was nice of them, and it works, but it is just a little jank, isn’t it? - The bag just isn’t comfortable to carry. Once you load it with an army and your gaming accessories, it’s pretty heavy. It feels durable enough to take it, but after more than 10 minutes my shoulders can’t. The carry straps are not separate, but come together into a U-shape where sewn to the bag. It’s not adjustable and not comfortable. The only thing you can do is adjust how tight they are, and if you loosen them too much, the bag sits awkwardly against your lower back which is not where the load should rest. There’s also no extra lumbar padding there to help it ride better. The back is just a flat padded surface. If they contoured it a little with padding, separated the straps, and added a waist belt, it’d help a ton. The good news is backpack carry isn’t usually a long term situation but as is, it’d prob be better on wheels instead, like an air travel bag . - An assortment of support pillars is included to adjust the height of the magna rack shelves, but the 4” size must be purchased separately. I needed to buy a set of 4” and an extra set of 3” pillars to setup the case the way I wanted. They’re only plastic tubes, so for the high price, it would have been nice if they included more sizes. Even if the kit bad been priced several dollars more to inherently accommodate those extras, it wouldn’t have bothered me. - The front panel is poorly designed to make use of the space. For the bottom half they added a 12”x8” flat zippered pocket with exterior molle webbing for attaching separate accessory pouches. The upper half is just a plain panel framing an embroidered company logo. While I appreciate the addition of molle webbing and have used it to attach a bottle holder and a pouch for holding a card box, it shouldn’t be used on the outside of the zipper pouch. Doing so makes the molle mounting point less stable and also interferes with the placing/removing of items in that pouch. Instead, the flat pouch should have been located at the top half of the panel with the logo on it, or alternatively no pouch and molle webbing all up the front side with the logo placed on top of the bag above the carry handle. The sides of the large front zipper pouch are also wide enough to accommodate 1 or 2 columns of webbing for a bottle attachment, or game mat tube, tucking it into the corner so it wouldn’t be hanging off the front of the bag interfering with the opening of the main compartment. I acknowledge that I chose those particular attachments, but given the lower placement of the Molle panel, most items will prevent the main compartment from opening when the bag sits upright. I load and unload mine with the carry straps down on the table, and have to deal with the front panel stuff before I can get to the racks. Bottom line, I can’t quite recommend this bag in its current iteration for how expensive it is. But the concept is sound and the material quality is pretty good, so with a few changes it could be really great: 1) make the magnarack shelves fit the interior of the bag or downsize future bags to be snug around the shelving. At the very least measure the metal plates correctly and show a dead-on picture of the rack inside the bag. At present it’s sort of false advertising. 2) Revisit the carry system. It’s not comfortable. Consider separating the straps to be adjustable at the top, and adding lumbar pad and/or a tuckable waist belt. 3) Move the logo to the top of the bag and add more molle webbing. Consider moving the small flat front pouch to the top away from the front panel’s pivot point. Here’s hoping for an improved Mk3 bag. Battle Foam Says: Thank you very much for writing out a very thorough review! I know one of your main issues was the price, and I wish current world events and supply chains allowed for those to be lower. We believe in quality and do not want to make sacrifices by cutting costs. We view our products an investment that people make to protect the monetary and chronological value that is invested into the miniatures. We enjoy seeing our bags at Conventions 10 years later still holding up strong. Now for the fit and feel, there are a bunch of different adjustments, and we partnered with professional climbers and hikers for reviews before we finalized the 2.0. The bag being a big rectangle did give issues, but adding the foam on the back with mesh fabric for breathability was important. We created the Go 2.0 with commuters, ala people riding their bike or taking mass transit, in mind. We have had feedback on the bag, but not every body is going to find our bag super comfortable, especially loaded up. In this regard, we feel we have a great return policy in case it isn't to your standards. For the sizing of usable metal, we will make a graphic to go on every relevant product showing that usable space! Thank you again!

P.A.C.K Go Magna rack slider kit
I just got it today and I'm happy. The Magna Racks are great and holds a lot of minis I magnetized. The bag looks awesome and has lots of useful pockets. I don't know how durable the bag will be. Time will tell. I hope the back straps are tough enough. They don't deem to be too reinforced where they are sewn to the bag, but the top carry handle looks pretty sturdy so I'll mostly use that. I would give this bag a 5 but I'll wait to see how durable the bag is in the long run. 4 stars.

Magnaracks
Really happy with this item. I use it for Star Wars legion and I can carry my entire army with it. Very durable and enough pockets to hold everything you need!

Pack Go 2.0 with Magna Rack Slider load out
Excellent product, easy to assemble trays as you desire. It will hold a pair of Forge World Cerastus Knights (which are quite tall) and still have room for a tray of the magnetized weapons. Or will hold an entire army.

Magna Slider with Pack Go
The bag is amazing and great quality. As for the magna rack I have just a few complaints. You can use the top of the rack. You also cant use all the shelves if you have any mini taller that .25in. So you are left with 3 useable shelves Battle Foam Says: Hello! We reached to to get some clarity, but wanted to address your complaints. The top rack is not usable while in bag, but once opened, can be a great landing pad for models taken off of the field of battle. Also great to be usable for people who use Magna Racks as hobby storage while at home, especially at the painting desk! As far as the mini taller than a quarter inch, we reached out for clarity. As long as your models is at or under the height of the legs being used between two trays, you should be fine!
