Magna Rack Sliders Large Kit for the P.A.C.K. 1520XL

I've actually reviewed the combined racks + bag before (5 stars), but I didn't think it would hurt to be specific to the sliders rack as well. This was my 3rd set of the large rack pack. I like them that much! Why get so many, you may be wondering? Well, I have a pretty bad habit of not being able to decide until the last minute which army I want to play in a given game. These racks let me bring multiple armies to one event, and I'm set to go no matter what I choose. I'm primarily a Conquest: Last Argument of Kings player, so being able to have my entire collection for a faction in one large PACK, and then using usually 2 removable trays for the actual army list that I'm using in the event is so convenient - I can just set up the trays with my Lights/Mediums/Heavies and use the rack as my off-table staging area. It's really the perfect scenario for using the PACK with removable trays, there aren't a lot of tables with the 6'x4' playing area needed that also have lots of room for your army's staging, too, so I can bring my own and keep the army safe and organized at the same time. Spend the money, it's worth it.

I have transferred all my models to Magna Racks over the last couple months and they are really amazing. They offer more storage per tray than foam, and I never have to worry about bits getting caught or paint getting rubbed. I also have racks set up on my storage/display shelves so I can quick swap them into my bags depending on what I need to bring. The magnetic hold is great, and the racks feel sturdy, even when I combined legs to make a 10 inch tall tray.

Excellent piece of kit. holds models easily from 3 large foam tray cases. concerned with airline travel. was advised to add extra magnets. i love it

Love the kit. Best option to transport. Never had an issue, Easy storage for multiple armies. Slide the trey off the rack and right onto my shelf for storage.

Snug fit, and I know my Orks will be ready to jump out for battle! Awesome product!

With great versatility comes great utility. Tons of space. The racks can be loaded in right side or upside down.

The first sets I bought were PERFECT. Now, the last several have multiple trays that just absolutely will not pull out unless you exert so much force you feel like something might break. It seems like maybe they stopped paying attention to QC on this one. I'm not buying any more of these until I find out 1) why the new are so bad, and 2) what they're doing to keep it from happening again. Battle Foam Says: Hello James! We didn't have a QC issue, but just a small adjustment in the back-end of the Slider to have more friction so that the Sliders did not fall out if tipped as easily. This was due to a lot of feedback from our customers' on our Sliders. With that said, it is possible that you got ones that did need adjustment or replacing. Thank you for being the first and hopefully only to identify this, and we have already reviewed potential solutions through e-mail with you, but wanted to let people see your concerns in this review as well as addressing it!

It was hard to make the switch from foam to these simply because I had already invested so much in the foam. But as models change and we indulge in our expensive habits, we end up with more models than we have foam for. I finally decided to make the switch to magnets to future-proof my storage needs. I don't have to worry about storing tons of foam for more and more models, or buying more bags to keep it contained. I can magnetize just about everything and keep the trays ready to move. These hold more than foam, they are infinitely customizable, and they are solidly made. Exactly what I needed. I think if I had to make any complaint, I would say that there needs to be a slightly better way to keep the shelf system in the bag itself. The slider trays are somewhat hard to pull out (this is good so your models move less in transport), and this means that sometimes you'll pull the frame out of the bag a little when removing a tray. It's a minor complaint, but something that I've noticed while using it. I still trust this thing to protect and transport the minis that I've spent so much time and money on.

This was exactly what I was looking for. The assembly was straightforward, the build quality looks and feels excellent, and it fits perfectly in my 1520XL pack.
