Wings Of War Tray for Small & Medium Planes (BFL-1)

I like the tray but the small plane storage is a bit small for most planes. I would have preferred a tray full of mediums over any smalls.

The Battle Foam folks have great products for miniature's gaming. One of their product that I recently bought was a Wings Of War Tray for Small & Medium Planes. This tray has allowed me to carry my entire collection of Wings of Glory small to medium aircraft in one convenient tray. The aircraft fit neatly in the pre-cut spaces (Including the rocket carrying Nieuports) with no worry of damaging them when taking them out each and every time for games. This is unlike the original boxes from the manufacturer as most gamer's who have broken some part of their fragile miniature aircraft can attest. A great big thank you for the folks at Battle Foam.

The medium size cut outs are useful for most 1/144 Wings of War and Shapeways models., including all Albatross scouts,, Pfalz D.IIIs, Fokker d.VIIs, Halberstadt D.IIs, Sopwith Camels, SE5as, etc. With some razor blade work the medium size cut outs are useful for DH2s and FE8s. The small size cut outs are useful for both German and British Triplanes, Sopwith Pups, Spad 7s (tight), Nieuport 11s. Nieuport 17s, etc. Since I focus on 1917 and 1918, I have many more medium sized planes than small sized planes. So, I need several trays for all my medium planes and have a number of small sized slots left over. Battlefiam should sell a tray of just medium cut outs and a tray of just small cut outs.

Between this tray, and the other Wings of War (now wings of Glory) tray, I can store my entire collection of series 1-4, with several spots left open! In addition, the combination of these two trays is only 3 inches thick, including the base. So, what used to take two stacks of over 10 inches of foam now takes up less than half of that! Look for the bomber tray soon I hope!
