Fits everything I have from these waves.

Posted by H. Cross on 26th May 2014

Though I could use two less Advanced and X-Wing slots, this foam fits all of my models from wave 1 and 2 with room to spare. Durable, and cleanly cut. I highly recommend it.

    X-Wing Models Protected

Posted by Michael Halstead on 24th Feb 2014

Bought the Pack 216 with the X-Wing foam and was highly impressed by the attention to detail that was put in to every part of this bag and foam. I wanted a place to store my models to keep them safe from the children's inquisitive fingers and they are safe from not on that but also from anything else I can think of that would happen to them around the house. Thanks!

    Great Product Trays

Posted by Matt R. on 24th Jun 2013

Like many here, I got the tray to keep my growing range of Star Wars: X-Wing ships in check. This tray has by far been on of the best investments I've made. Like BF's other trays, durable foam, great precuts and plenty of padding to make sure the tray does not get squashed under additional weight. My only two drawbacks are only 5 slots for TIE Intercepters but it worked out as I only own 3 TIE Advanced to that's cool. My other drawback, like so many others is no space for the Large bases. I'm hoping greatly that when Wave 3 hits and the individal team trays are (hopefully) reset to include the new ships that they also include a improved Acces. Tray that will can handle the large bases as well. Can't wait to see the new trays in Aug 13'.

    Three quarters awesome

Posted by CrookedWookie on 24th Jun 2013

First off, the ship tray is awesome. Period. Especially for a new player with a mix of wave 1-2 ships, the half with the ship cutouts is amazing. Ships fit snugly, with just enough wiggle room to get them out- I recommend plastic tweezers, personally. It would have been nice if the Falcon had an extra little divot for the plastic stand mount on the bottom, so that it sat flush, but that's barely a quibble. The token/template half of this for me is a partial miss. It's just a series of little things that added up for me. I would have liked two larger card holders, not just one - one for each faction, to keep them separate. The card holders are a good size - unless you keep your cards in sleeves to protect them, in which case it's a bit too snug. Again, a tiny bit more wiggle room would have gone a long way. The template holders are nice, but they're all perfectly straight. 2/3 of the templates have a gentle curve or a sharp hook to them, so they don't sit in the straight, narrow template slots as well as you might expect. Plus, the tray isn't deep enough for some of the components like ship dials or target locks to sit upright well, but they eat up a lot of space lying flat. I use baggies to separate the various tokens, but the token slots are clearly meant for loose tokens and don't accommodate baggies all that well. Overall, the ship half is brilliant, aside from the YT space not letting it sit flat. The token/template half is well intentioned but I think could have been better laid out to make use of the actual components - and more importantly the way people like to store them with card sleeves and baggies and such. Look at the picture and there are only 3 small slots clearly intended for tokens, but the game uses shield tokens, focus tokens, stress tokens, critical hit tokens, Ion tokens, and more. Would have been nice to have more slots devoted to separating these.

All the Components fit just fine.

Here is a picture of the component tray of the 216 kit holding all of the components just fine - the cards are in sleeves, and the large Falcon/Slave I base fits as well. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151364630792126&set=o.162879796485&type=1&theater

Star Wars Game Foam Tray is a must

Posted by Unknown on 18th Apr 2013

I found both the first and second to be very designed. The first tray holds all the ships very nicely. I also found that the second tray holds all of the accessories. Since I don't place the cards in plastic bags, I found them to fit nicely in tray #2.

Great for Ships! But there are too many bits!

Posted by Unknown on 18th Apr 2013

Love the packaging for the ships in the first tray. Spot on for holding any tournament fleet. The second tray does leave a little bit to be desired. I wish I could include a picture to show you how I've stuck everything in there. I feel like there are just too many little numerical identifier tokens and target locks or other tokens to really fit well in an organized fashion.

Great for ships, so-so for accessories

Posted by Jay on 18th Apr 2013

As some other people have remarked, the accessories tray doesn't really match up to the usefulness of the ship tray. The ship tray works perfectly, and until wave 3 comes out, will meet all of my needs. The accessories tray, however, leaves a bit to be desired, particularly with regards to tokens. It's great for the template, dials, range ruler and ship cards (though you'd never be able to hold all of the cards for the all of the ships you could carry in the other tray). It's okay for the bases and/or ship tokens. But I don't really want to throw all my other tokens into one or two big sections and have to sort through them. I prefer the Plano box I've already got. However, overall I'm pleased enough that it holds the templates, range ruler, and rulebook. Now I can carry every I could ever need for a game in this and my Plano, which is an improvement. If I were going to do it again, I might purchase the ship tray and then have a custom one made for the accessories.

    Keeps my chaos organized

This pre-made foam storage for my X-wing fleet works great. Plenty of room for all my pieces with room to grow.
