Ten millennia ago, Warmaster Horus succumbed to the ruinous powers of Chaos, drawing eight fellow Primarchs and their legions into a devastating civil war that shattered the galaxy. Ever since, Chaos Space Marine warbands have retreated to the Eye of Terror, launching brutal crusades to honor the Dark Gods.

Unnatural Warp influences within the Eye of Terror have fused biological tissue directly with mechanical constructs. Traitor Astartes exist as corrupted cybernetic hybrids; although they wield armor and weapons derived from loyalist patterns, their wargear is heavily customized and stamped with unholy sigils.

Chaos Terminators are grizzled veterans who have proven their prowess in battle and have earnt the right to wear Tactical Dreadnought Armour. On the battlefield, they are huge hulking behemoths that cast imposing shadows over their foes, filling their hearts with fear and dread. The elite status of the Terminators grants them access to the deadliest weapons, making them capable of taking on any opponent.
